The NKA Readers Theatre group chose selections from "The Thurber Carnival" for this season's first performance. Four pieces from James Thurber's collection of humorous stories were converted into scripts to provide roles for 17 of the Readers.First up was "The Night the Bed Fell," with Readers Theatre newcomer, Grant Thomas, as the narrator.

The second selection was "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," with director Ron Gill in the title role.

"The Unicorn in the Garden" was the third selection, and the afternoon's performance was topped off by "The Macbeth Murder Mystery," read by Carol Nelson and Cheryl Lyda.
Rosa Mena worked her FX magic and provided sound effects for the readings.

The next performance on October 24 will be a twin bill of vintage episodes of "The Lone Ranger" and "I Love Lucy." All NKA members and friends are invited to attend!
